<Modular Water Treatment System Technical Specification>The revision work kick-off meeting was successfully held
On November 22, 2022, the revision launch meeting and the first working meeting for the "Modular Water Treatment System Technical Specifications" were held at the Qingdao headquarters of Shandong Huatong Environmental Technology Co., Ltd.
The theme of this meeting is to carry out revision work based on the 2013 version of the "Technical Regulations for Modular Water Treatment Systems". The main additions in the revision are to integrate the lateral-flow horizontal sedimentation technology of the national standard with Huatong Company's ribbed bars horizontal sedimentation plates, sedimentation modules, and the patented technology based on this sedimentation plate, and to standardize the main control parameters. This meeting is held in a combination of online and offline formats.

The participants of this meeting included Shen Zhen, the chief engineer of the first lead-designing unit, China Municipal Engineering North China Design Research General Institute Co., Ltd. (referred to as "North China Institute"), Geng Anfeng, the president of the first design institute, and Mao Yunming, the chairman of the second lead-designing unit, Shandong Huatong Environmental Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Shandong Huatong"), as well as the leaders and technical personnel from 8 member units of the compilation group, including China Oil (Xinjiang) Petroleum Engineering Co., Ltd., China Municipal Engineering Southwest Design Research General Institute Co., Ltd., Shandong City Water Supply and Drainage Quality Monitoring Center, Guizhou Water Conservancy and Hydropower Survey and Design Research Institute Co., Ltd. Municipal Design Institute, Fujian Water Investment Survey and Design Co., Ltd., and Changjiang Ecological Environmental Protection Group Co., Ltd. A total of over 34 people attended the meeting.

Zhu Chief Engineer highly affirmed the preparatory work for the launch meeting of this "Regulation", and delivered a keynote speech, emphasizing that "The revision work was carried out based on the 2013 edition of the 'Technical Regulation for Modular Water Treatment System', indicating that this 'Regulation' has excellent quality and a long lifecycle. The guarantee of quality is the prerequisite condition for the survival and development of the standard."
The meeting invited five experts to attend and offer guidance: Li Shuyuan, the chief engineer of China Municipal Engineering Central South Design Research Institute Co., Ltd.; Li Yansong, the vice president of China Municipal Engineering Northeast Design Research Institute Co., Ltd.; Wu Daoji, the president of Shandong University of Architecture and Technology; Li Yong, the deputy general manager of Zhengzhou Water Investment Holding Co., Ltd.; and Han Yanping, the deputy chief engineer of Tianjin Water Group Co., Ltd.

Shen Zhen, the chief engineer of China Municipal Engineering North Branch, stated at the meeting that by revising the implementation standards issued in 2013 as a driving force to achieve overall coordination, the modularized water treatment system was integrated in the design, manufacturing, and management processes. There was orderly competition and clear rules to follow, using standardized methods to effectively improve the drinking water safety in urban and rural areas as well as in remote regions. The revised regulations are of great significance for the popularization of standardized, modularized, and equipmentized construction methods in both large and small water purification plants.

Participating in the standard formulation not only represents the technology of Huatong Company and its water treatment system technology, but also gathers and condenses the wisdom and efforts of many experts. The patented lateral-flow reinforced horizontal plate sedimentation technology invented by Shandong Huatong not only significantly improves the sedimentation efficiency compared to traditional sedimentation processes, but also realizes a commercial production model with low cost and high efficiency. Thus, whether it is a micro-sized water purification plant system or a medium-sized or large-sized water purification plant, it has completed the factory production of complete machines and the completion of the water purification treatment project through the prefabricated pipelines on site. This has greatly shortened the construction period, improved the working environment of workers, enhanced the quality of the project, and reduced the project cost. Through this standard revision work, the state of the manufacturers of modular water treatment devices having no rules to follow and no regulations to abide by in design, detection, construction and acceptance, operation and maintenance has been completely changed. At the same time, Huatong has learned more, deeper and better things from these experts, and our products, technologies, management and so on have reached a new level.
This meeting clarified the overall principles for the revision, integrated expert opinions to adjust the overall framework and content of the procedures, preliminarily determined the modification requirements for specific clauses, confirmed the establishment of the compilation team, fully utilized the expertise and talent resources of the participating units, and divided the tasks to compile the revised draft. This has laid out the plan for the future standard revision work. Huatong Company will leverage its own technical advantages and actively participate in the revision of standards and technological innovation work, providing strong support for the quality development of the industry.
